IMPACT Tallahassee’s 4th Annual “Clays for IMPACT” weekend, presented by SunStop stores, will take place at Southwind Plantation- the Orvis Endorsed,”Wingshooting Lodge of the Year” on April 10th and 11th.

“Clays for IMPACT” is the first of our semi-annual fundraisers benefiting IMPACT Tallahassee, bringing together great food, even better company, and a shared commitment to supporting children and young adults with special needs. The fun begins early for our VIP supporters with exclusive access to Southwind—time to get checked into lodging, enjoy a friendly shoot over the pond, and ease into the weekend.

Friday afternoon, all sponsors are invited to a VIP Happy Hour on the back deck at Southwind before things really crank up with our crowd-favorite Cowboys & Pearls Party, featuring fresh oysters from Serenoa Shellfish, live music by The Leftovers, and a laid-back, boots-and-pearls vibe under the stars. Saturday morning kicks off bright and early with breakfast followed by a 5-stand sporting clays competition, great prizes, and plenty of opportunities to connect with fellow supporters.

Schedule of Events

FRIDAY APRIL 10:

  • 3-5pm: VIP Wobble Trap Over the Pond Sport Shooting Event
  • 5-7pm: VIP Happy Hour
  • 7-11pm: Cowboys & Pearls Party

SATURDAY APRIL 11:

  • 8-9am: Breakfast
  • 9-12pm: Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Competitions
  • 12-1:30pm: Lunch and Closing

Where is the event?

Southwind Plantation Hunting Preserve is located at 670 Bower Station Road, Attapulgus, GA 39815.

Pull-up to the main lodge and IMPACT will direct you to your table, rooms, and the shooting areas.

What should I wear?

All parts of our event are “country casual”. Wear your jeans, boots, and come ready to have a great time outside, weather permitting!

What should I bring?

Bring your shotgun. We’ll have .12 & .20 gauge shells for you to use, so be sure to bring shells if you plan to use a different gun.

Make sure to bring sunglasses or eye protection. Southwind will provide standard earplugs.

If I'm not shooting, can I watch?

Of course! We would love to see you out there. Please be sure to ALWAYS stand behind those who are shooting.

Is there a competition to win?

Friday’s “Wobble Trap Over the Pond” VIP shoot will be a fun shoot. Saturday’s Pistol, Rifle, and Shotgun Competitions will be scored.

What if it rains?

The event will go on rain or shine! All parts of our event have a covered option for changes in weather.
