Summer Escape 2025

Welcome to Summer Escape!

Summer Escape is a summer camp for children and teens with special needs, between the ages of 5 and 21. With a staff trained in implementing individualized support systems, we are ready to tailor the experience to ensure every child has a summer worth remembering.

The camp will have weekly sessions with options for half-days and full-days, as well as early drop-off and late pick-up. Each week will have an overall theme and daily activities include music time, arts and crafts, dance parties, and so much more!

2025 Camp Themes:

Each Tuesday, campers are encouraged to dress in their best costumes based on that week’s theme. Here are the themes for 2025!

  • Week 1 Outdoor Adventures: Embark on an exciting outdoor adventure! Explore the great outdoors with nature walks, create nature-themed crafts, and even meet an owl from the Tallahassee Museum. This week is all about connecting with nature.
  • Week 2 Carnival Fun: Step right up for a week full of carnival thrills! This week is packed with joy, creativity, and all the fun of the fair!
  • Week 3 Career Week: Explore the world of work and discover your future passions! During career week, campers will have the chance to learn about various professions through hands-on activities, and guest speakers.
  • Week 4 Wild Adventures: Get up close with the animal kingdom! Campers will learn about different species, participate in wildlife activities, and even meet live animals, all while discovering the wonders of the natural world.
  • Week 5 Creative Arts Week: Unleash your inner artist! Campers will explore various art forms, including painting, drawing, and music while expressing their creativity through hands-on projects.
  • Week 6 Out of this World: Blast off into space! Campers will explore the universe through sight and sensory. All while learning about planets and stars to ignite their imagination for intergalactic adventures.
  • Week 7 Superheroes: Discover your superpowers! Campers will create their own superhero personas, and learn the values of teamwork, courage, and kindness while saving the day in fun, action-packed activities.
  • Week 8 Under the Sea: Dive into oceanic adventures! Campers will explore marine life, create sea-themed crafts, while having fun with water games and activities inspired by the deep blue sea.
  • Week 9 Back to School Bash: Get ready for the new school year with a fun-filled celebration! Campers will enjoy exciting games, creative school supply crafts, all while gearing up for a successful and fun school year ahead.

Registering for Camp

Registering your child for camp with IMPACT Academy is easy! Simply print the registration packet, then either bring it by in person or send it via email! The first week’s payment and supply fee must be paid when submitting your registration.

Additionally, if you have a copy of a current IEP, we would also love a copy of that! Any information you can give to help us tailor your child’s experience will be welcomed. We’d love to have your child join us as we embark on a summer full of fun.

The positive energy the staff brings to the center every day, helps you know your little one is being well taken care of.
